INVIVOLIM brings together industrial and academic actors in the field of life sciences and biotechnologies in the Limousin and New Aquitaine regions.
The story begins with a small group of entrepreneurs who want to give visibility to their sector in the field of biotechnology. In 2014 this group is structured as an association under the 1901 law and, thanks to the support of the former Limousin region and then the New Aquitaine region, in 2016 it will move closer to the Toulouse Cancer-Bio-Health competitiveness cluster to share an Animator and a common roadmap.
The cluster is then structured around local networking events, workshops and working groups allowing Invivolim members to meet and interact, to discover their ecosystem and to multiply opportunities for discussions, exchanges of good practices, address books or to initiate collaborations.
In the same spirit of interclustering, Invivolim recently approached the Limousin Medical Cluster, which brings together companies in the health and medical sectors to share their roadmaps until they become one and lead the entire community.
Finally, Invivolim is actively engaged in an operational clustering process with other clusters in the New Aquitaine region in the health sector, in order to create a regional competence center to lead the health sector throughout New Aquitaine. This "super-cluster", named "Alliance Innovation Santé" (ALLIS-NA), will bring together several current clusters in the fields of pharmaceuticals (GIPSO), e-health (TIC Santé), medical devices (RDMNA), biotechnology (INVIVOLIM) and healthcare institutions (OSASUNA), as well as the Grand Poitiers technology park. This grouping reflects the region's strong desire to give visibility to its health sector, companies, universities and university hospitals.
THE MEMBERS OF THE CLUSTER
Our members are companies, start-ups, university or hospital research teams, and communities that work together around the themes of life sciences, health and biotechnology.
Their thematic fields of application are quite varied, some of them working in the fields of health, animal or plant biotechnology, green chemistry or cosmetics; this thematic richness allows our members to find often complementary and interesting experiences to share in order to be informed or to progress collectively.
With the merger between Invivolim and the medical cluster, our cluster is expanding its missions and becoming a generalist cluster integrating skills in the fields of imaging and medical devices, e-health and big data for example.
